Setup
Add Unsection to your AI tool.
Every tool uses the same server URL. The first time you connect, you'll sign in to Unsection in your browser.

Set up the Unsection MCP in Claude Code
Run in your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http unsection https://www.unsection.com/mcp
- Start Claude Code (terminal or desktop app) and type /mcp.
- Choose “unsection”, then Authenticate.
- Sign in to Unsection in the browser window that opens.
Set up the Unsection MCP in Claude
- In Claude (web or desktop), open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- Name it “Unsection” and paste https://www.unsection.com/mcp.
- Click Connect and sign in to Unsection when prompted.
Set up the Unsection MCP in ChatGPT
- Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
- Create a connector named “Unsection” with the URL https://www.unsection.com/mcp and OAuth authentication.
- Sign in to Unsection when prompted.

Which plans include the MCP?
Pro and Lifetime. Free accounts can connect, but searches return a message to upgrade.
Can it change anything in my account?
No. All three tools are read-only. They never touch your saves, folders, or billing.
Do I need an API key?
No. The first time you connect, your AI tool opens Unsection in the browser and you approve access. To disconnect, remove the connector in your AI tool.
Is there a usage limit?
Each account can make 60 requests per minute, which is plenty for normal design work.
Which AI tools work?
Any MCP client that supports remote servers with browser sign-in. Claude, ChatGPT, and VS Code also show results as an image gallery; other tools show text with links.
Why is it in beta?
Search and section details are still improving, so results and tool responses may change.
