Build this: hand any section to your AI agent

Every section now has a Build this button. Click it, paste one line into Claude Code or Cursor, and your agent rebuilds the section in your project from its real copy, colors and screenshot.

  1. 1. On every card and section page: Build this sits next to Save on gallery cards and on each section page.
  2. 2. Set up once, then one click: The first time, Build this shows how to connect the Unsection MCP to Claude Code or Cursor. After that, a click copies the prompt straight away. The setup guide is on the MCP page if you add another tool.
  3. 3. Built from the real section: Your agent gets the text on the screen, the colors, fonts and layout, and the screenshot at its real size, so it can measure spacing instead of guessing. It builds the section in your stack, responsive and accessible.
  4. 4. Your brand, not theirs: The source logo is swapped for a similar placeholder icon and name, and customer or investor logos become neutral placeholders, so you never ship someone else's brand.
  5. 5. 5 free builds a week: Free accounts can build 5 different sections a week, and building the same section again doesn't count. Pro and Lifetime are unlimited.

Search by color

You can now find sections by color. We read the colors of all 5,400+ sections from their screenshots, so you can look for blue pricing tables or beige heroes and get sections where that color is part of the design.

  1. 1. Pick a color in the search bar: Click the search bar and choose a color under Filter by color, below your recently viewed sections. More shows all 14: red, orange, yellow, green, teal, blue, indigo, purple, pink, brown, beige, gray, black and white.
  2. 2. Type a color or paste a hex: Type "blue", or just "bl", and pick the color from the list. Paste a hex like #1E40AF and it is matched to the closest of the 14 colors.
  3. 3. Color and words together: Search for "pricing" with Blue on and you get pricing sections with blue in their design. The color stays as a chip in the search bar until you remove it, and it works with text in screenshots too.
  4. 4. Part of the design, not just a button: A section counts when the color covers a real part of it, like a background, a card or a band, not only a button or a logo. Green includes teal.
  5. 5. A link for every color: Each color has its own page, like /search?color=blue, so you can share exactly what you found.

Search now understands what you type

Search used to look for your whole phrase in section names, so searches like "dark fintech pricing" or "e commerce" often found nothing. It now reads each word: words that name a category, style, layout, element, type or industry become filters, and the rest are matched against section names, websites and the text in the screenshots.

  1. 1. Plain words become filters: Search for "dark fintech pricing" and you get Pricing sections tagged Dark from finance products. A "Read as" line under the results heading shows which words became filters, so you can see how your search was understood.
  2. 2. Fewer empty results: When nothing matches every word and filter, search drops one at a time instead of showing nothing, and tells you what it dropped. Sections that still have it come first. Most of last month's most common empty searches now find sections.
  3. 3. Best matches first: Results are ordered by how well they match: a word in the section name counts most, then the website, then the text in the screenshot. Searching for text inside screenshots still finds the exact phrase, newest first.
  4. 4. The same search in your AI tool: The Unsection MCP uses the same search. A fix also means a misspelled word now returns no results, instead of a few sections that have nothing to do with it.

Your AI tool now sees what is in a section

The Unsection MCP used to hand your AI a few style tags and a small thumbnail, so it had to guess the rest. Every result now comes with the words on the screen, how the section is built, and its colors, straight from the library.

  1. 1. The copy, as written: Each search result includes the first lines of text read from the screenshot, and section details include all of it: headline, subhead, prices, buttons. Your AI can quote a real pattern instead of inventing one.
  2. 2. Layout and elements: Results say how a section is built, using the same Layout and Elements tags as the gallery: heading alignment, where the visual sits, Split, Grid or Bento, and what is inside, like Stats, Pricing toggle or Comparison table.
  3. 3. Colors and fonts: Every result carries the colors pulled from the design, labeled as background, text, accent or surface, and section details list the fonts. Ask for a palette and you get the real hex values.
  4. 4. A screenshot your AI can read: Section details now attach the screenshot at readable size instead of a thumbnail, so tools with vision can check the layout themselves. In Claude, ChatGPT and VS Code the gallery shows Layout and Elements too.
  5. 5. Paste a link: Section details accept an Unsection URL as well as a slug, so you can drop a link from the gallery into your chat and ask about it.

Filters, redefined: Style, Layout and Elements

You can now find sections by how they are built, not only by how they look. Every one of the 5,300+ sections has been tagged with its layout and the elements it contains.

  1. 1. Filter by layout: The new Layout filter has three groups: where the heading is aligned (left or center), where the main visual sits (left, right, below, in the background, or no visual at all), and how the section is arranged, such as Split, Grid, Bento, Zig-zag, Carousel, Masonry, Table or List.
  2. 2. Filter by what is in the section: The new Elements filter lists 28 things you can see in a section, like Stats, Timeline, Logos, Form, Email capture, Tabs, Accordion, Map and Product UI. Some only appear where they make sense: Pricing has Pricing toggle, Comparison table and Popular badge, and Navbar has Mega menu and Announcement bar.
  3. 3. Style is now about the look: Style covers how a section looks, like Dark, Pastel, Gradient or 3D. Card, Bento, Image, Video, UI Mockup, Vector, Table View and Text Heavy moved to Layout and Elements, and their old links take you to the new pages.
  4. 4. Combine filters: Mix Style, Layout and Elements, for example Dark with Bento and Stats, to narrow the gallery down. On your phone, all three are in one Filters button.
  5. 5. Browse by type and industry: The top bar now has Sections, Types and Industries. Types and Industries each have their own page, with a list on the left to jump between them. Layouts and elements have their own pages too, like /layout/bento and /elements/stats, so you can share a link to exactly what you found.

Trending and Latest at the top of every page

The two cards at the top of the home page and every category, style, type and industry page now show what people are opening this week and what was just added.

  1. 1. Trending this week: See the three sections people opened most in the last 7 days, with one section per site so a single brand cannot take every spot. The card moves to the next section every 6 seconds and pauses while you hover over it. It stays still if your device is set to reduce motion. Busy categories show their own top sections, and quieter ones show the top sections across Unsection.
  2. 2. The latest additions: The Latest card lists the five newest sections for the page you are on. Each row shows the brand, what the section is, and how long ago it was added. Hover over a row to see the full title.

Emails about your membership

Unsection now emails you when something important happens with your Pro or Lifetime membership, so you are never left guessing.

  1. 1. A welcome when you join: After you join Pro or Lifetime, you get a welcome email with a link to start browsing.
  2. 2. A heads-up if a payment fails: If a Pro payment does not go through, we email you with a link to your Account page so you can update your payment details.
  3. 3. A note when Pro ends: If your Pro subscription is canceled, you get an email confirming it, with a link to reactivate Pro if you change your mind. You will not get this email when you switch plans or delete your account.

A cleaner gallery and a look at what is next

The gallery no longer shows empty counts, the Hero category gives you more sections before the first ad, and the Pro page now shows what we are building next.

  1. 1. See what is coming: The Pro page has a new Roadmap section with the features we plan to launch before the end of 2026, including an AI-powered Section Builder, Unsection Style MD, Likes History and an Animation Library. Use the And more card to tell us what you would like to see.
  2. 2. No more zeros: Like counts, filter counts and the Website and Community totals now appear only when there is something to count. A section with no likes yet shows just the heart.
  3. 3. Fewer ads at the top of Hero sections: On the Hero category page, the first two rows of the gallery are now free of ads.
  4. 4. Clearer missing pages: A link to a category, style, type or industry that does not exist now opens a Not Found page instead of an empty gallery.

Like the sections you love

Every section in the gallery now has a heart, so you can like a design in one click and see how many people liked it too.

  1. 1. One click to like: Click the heart next to a section name to like it, and click it again to take the like back. The heart turns pink when you have liked a section.
  2. 2. See what others like: The number next to each heart shows how many members have liked that section. You need to be signed in to like, and everyone can see the counts.

Search Unsection from your AI tools (beta)

The Unsection MCP server is now open in beta. Connect it to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, Claude Code or Codex, and ask for design references without leaving your chat or editor.

  1. 1. Ask in plain words: Try something like "dark fintech pricing" or "SaaS hero with a product screenshot". Category, style, type and industry words become filters on their own, and results show whether a design is from a shipped product or a designer concept.
  2. 2. Results as a gallery: Claude, ChatGPT and VS Code show results as a gallery of thumbnails. Other tools show a list with links to each section on Unsection.
  3. 3. Set up in a minute: The new MCP page at unsection.com/mcp has step-by-step setup for each tool, with commands you can copy. There is no API key: the first time you connect, you approve access in your browser.
  4. 4. Included with Pro and Lifetime: Pro and Lifetime members find their server URL on the Account page, and MCP now has its own item in the account menu. The tools only read the library and never change your saves or collections.

A new Pro page and a cleaner menu

Unsection now has a page that shows everything Pro unlocks, and the top bar and mobile menu are easier to use.

  1. 1. See what Pro includes: The new Pro page compares Free and Pro side by side and shows each benefit in action, from unlimited filters and saves to ad-free browsing. You can start Pro or Lifetime from there.
  2. 2. Early adopter price: Pro is $5 a month for now. The price will go up to $9 a month, and activating Pro now locks in $5. The same note appears on the Pricing page.
  3. 3. Your avatar in the top bar: When you are signed in, the Account button is now your avatar, with a Join Pro button next to it. The menu under your avatar works as before.
  4. 4. A better mobile menu: The menu on phones now has a Pro shortcut, grouped sections, icons, and a Collections link. Sign out is a regular item in the list instead of a red bar fixed to the bottom of the screen. The logo is a little larger and the search field a little narrower.

The related sections under each design are now ranked by how similar they are, instead of by when they were added.

Section pages now show a color palette taken from the design, so you can pick up its colors as easily as its fonts.

New this week, filter counts, and recent sections

Unsection now has a page for everything added in the last 7 days, shows how many sections sit behind each filter, and remembers what you looked at recently.

  1. 1. See what is new this week: Open New Inspiration This Week to browse every section added in the last 7 days, newest first. Switch between Website and Community to see each. A link to it appears on the home page every week from Friday 9:00 AM until the end of Sunday, in your local time.
  2. 2. Counts on every filter: The Style, Type and Section dropdowns now show how many sections each option has. In the side menu, hover over a name to see its count. Counts follow the Website or Community tab you are on.
  3. 3. Pick up where you left off: Click the search bar without typing and your last viewed sections appear, with a thumbnail and when you opened them. Use the arrow keys and Enter to jump back in, or choose Clear to remove the list. Your history stays on this device.

Share a collection with a link

You can now share a collection with anyone. They can open the link and browse what you saved, without an account and without changing anything.

  1. 1. Turn sharing on: Open a collection and choose Share. Anyone with the link can view it. Turn sharing off whenever you want.
  2. 2. Copy or replace the link: Copy the link to send it, or make a new one. The old link stops working as soon as you replace it.
  3. 3. Choose whether your name appears: Show your name on the shared page, or leave it off. Viewers only see this collection, not the rest of what you have saved.

Faster search, copy links, and clearer styles

Unsection now jumps to search from the keyboard, lets you copy a section link in one click, and filters styles more accurately across the library.

  1. 1. Jump to search with / or ⌘K: Press / or ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) anywhere to focus the search bar. A small / hint appears in the empty field on desktop.
  2. 2. Copy a section link: On any section page, use Copy link next to Save and Visit to put the section URL on your clipboard.
  3. 3. More accurate style filters: Every inspiration was re-tagged with clearer style labels, so Style filters match what you see on screen more closely.
